Friends and family of the 230th Brigade Support Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team of the North Carolina National Guard invite to you to become a permanent part of a memorial honoring our fallen Soldiers of the North Carolina National Guard who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

On 22 October 2011, one of our fellow Officers and Soldiers was killed during combat operations in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.   The assault force she was supporting triggered an improvised explosive device.

1LT Ashley Irene White was assigned to the 230th Brigade Support Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, North Carolina Army National Guard located in Goldsboro, NC.  1LT. Ashley White served as an Evacuation Platoon Leader.

While serving as a member on the Cultural Support Team attached to a Joint Special Operations Task Force, Ashley White selflessly served and her actions exemplify the highest commitment to duty, honor and country.

Ashley was not only a Soldier, she was a beloved daughter, sister, and wife.  She loved to run, workout, spend time with her family, play with her Siberian Husky, drink coffee, and be in the company of friends.  Her passionate and caring self will be deeply missed.

Please consider purchasing a brick to help support this memorial in honoring our fallen Hero or a fallen Hero of your own.  A memorial will be constructed at the Unit’s Armory located in Goldsboro, NC.
